Water. The most important beverage of all. We focus on the culture of beverages, but there would be no culture without water.
This series aims to highlight the nuances that the universal beverage can have. The source of water and the way it is treated can effect the flavor, mouth feel, clarity, and potability of H20. On top of this, different societies harness their water in different ways. Some find clean water easily, others struggle to do so every day.
Each review of drinking water reflects on the experience of drinking commonly consumed water in a specific place and explaining how it got into the cup in the first place.
